THE FOUNDERS

Top Aces was started by three former CF-18 pilots. They first met at the Royal Military College in Kingston over 20 years ago. Their time in the Air Force was spent flying the CF-18, where they all achieved the highest qualification for tactical fighter aviation in Canada; Fighter Weapons Instructor (FWI).

By having a common vision, and by leveraging their ability to think strategically and to execute flawlessly, they have been able to build a dynamic, fast growing company that brings together unique skill sets that are in demand in Canada today.

THE EXECUTIVE TEAM

The executive team at Top Aces consists of an ideal mix of people from varied backgrounds, including aviation, military, engineering, accounting, finance, human resources and public affairs.

These varied backgrounds plus an open, collaborative approach to problem solving ensures that the executive team is fully engaged in the activities of the company and that unique, tailored aviation solutions are developed that meet our customers needs.

PILOTS

The Top Aces Team is composed of experienced and dedicated former fighter pilots. The majority of our pilots are graduates of the Canadian Fighter Weapons Instructor School, with actual combat experience and have accumulated over 50,000 hours of fighter experience. Some members are still active reservists with the Canadian Forces which allows the Top Aces team to remain current with respect to modern combat tactics.

Whether the need is Close Air Support, Fighter Combat, Maritime Support or Electronic Warfare training, our team is focused on addressing our client’s needs and desires.

MAINTENANCE AND ENGINEERING

Top Aces has a team of dedicated and qualified Flight Test Engineers and Maintenance personnel. Our internal Engineering department has spearheaded the design and certification of several key upgrades and modifications to the Alpha Jet fighter jets and Westwind aircraft. The Top Aces maintenance team is comprised entirely of highly qualified and experienced technicians dedicated to the Top Aces operation.

MANAGEMENT AND ADMINISTRATION

The Top Aces management team consists of professionals who share the same entrepreneurial spirit as the founders; they are experienced, dedicated and focused on delivering results. The team has a broad range of expertise including financial management, human resources and public relations both Military and civilian.

FLIGHT OPERATIONS

The flight operations department consists of a dedicated team of skilled individuals that focus on delivering operational efficiency. On a day-to-day basis they provide planning and support to both Top Aces personnel and the Canadian Military. Their services are available 24/7 and include; aircraft and route scheduling, over flight and landing permits, arrangement of ground handling and fuel, crew management, and day-to-day operations control and flight following.
