Welcome to Top Aces
Top Aces, a wholly owned subsidiary of Discovery Air, is the exclusive supplier of combat airborne training services to the Canadian Forces. We provide joint terminal attack controller training to Canadian special operations and ground forces, Red Air and electronic attack training to CF-18 aircrew and navy, as well as live-fire target practice to the Canadian military.
Top Aces’ integrated logistics, maintenance and engineering solutions ensure that the Canadian Forces receives the level of support they require to achieve their objectives.

... that Brad “Bear” Dolan received the Commanding Officer’s (CO) coin from the CO of 1 Royal Canadian Horse Artillery LCol Tim Young in appreciation for the work Top Aces completed in Shilo, MB as part of Forward Air Controller (FAC) Training? Between missions, Bear met the FACs on the ground and fortunately the Army lent him a coat – it was -23C with the wind to 28kts. They expressed their appreciation and high regard for the training. -
... that Top Aces is now able to offer rear seat training flights to Forward Air Controllers (FAC)? On November 29, 2010, pilot Brad "Bear" Dolan and Captain Manu Pelletier-Bedard landed in Quebec City. This is a great training opportunity and certainly brings a very different perspective to the FACs as they can see what the pilot sees as the aircraft flys to the controlled airspace. Major Andre "Stuka" Lessard completed the first flight earlier that day. -
... that 3 Top Aces pilots, Shawn "Burner" Byrne, Jeff "Beck" Beckett and Steve "Bunt" Nierlich have over 3000 hours of flying time in the F-18 Hornet? Bunt was the only one to get all of his hours on the CF-18, both Burner and Beck completed exchange tours with the US.
